Italian manufacturers Natuzzi and Ficomirrors face production relocation crises
Italian manufacturing companies Natuzzi and Ficomirrors are facing significant industrial crises due to production relocation and labor concerns.
At Natuzzi, unions Cgil and Fillea have reported delayed wages, increased use of redundancy funds, and a shift of production to Romania. Only two of the company's five Italian production sites remain operational, raising concerns about the stability of the Murgia furniture district and worker safety. Unions have requested urgent intervention from the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
Similarly, the Ficomirrors plant in Morcone is facing uncertainty following the decision to transfer the production of mirrors for the Fiat Ducato to Poland. Political representatives have raised parliamentary inquiries to seek clarity from the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Enterprises, warning of heavy employment and social consequences for the Sannio region.
