Italian mechanic faces charges for unauthorized use of client's Audi

A mechanic in Trieste, Italy, has faced criminal proceedings after allegedly using a client's Audi for several months without permission. The vehicle owner, a lawyer from Cervignano del Friuli, discovered the misuse after receiving numerous traffic fines totaling approximately 7,000 euros.

Investigations revealed that the mechanic operated the vehicle despite having a suspended driver's license and while the car was under an administrative seizure order. The owner identified the unauthorized use of her vehicle by locating it parked at the mechanic's residence via Google Street View.

The case is currently subject to criminal proceedings, with a court hearing expected to take place in the coming month.
