Italian media and political figures gather for MSI history conference and QN newspaper launch
A series of high-profile events in Italy features discussions on political history and the launch of a new media venture. In Palermo, the Giuseppe and Marzio Tricoli Foundation will host a conference titled “La Fiamma della memoria. Storia, idee e protagonisti del Msi in Sicilia” on November 27 at the Hotel Villa Igiea. The event aims to trace the history and ideas of the Movimento Sociale Italiano (MSI) in Sicily from the post-war era to the 1995 Fiuggi Congress. Attendees include Senate President Ignazio La Russa, Ministers Nello Musumeci and Adolfo Urso, and Undersecretary for Culture Giampiero Cannella.
Separately, Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio has launched QN, an autonomous daily newspaper, which debuted on November 5 across Italy. The launch event at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome was attended by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Senate President Ignazio La Russa, and various political and business leaders. QN Media aims to become a major European media group, utilizing a new app and an AI tool called Qid to connect facts and documents. The newspaper will be distributed alongside existing titles such as Il Resto del Carlino, La Nazione, and Il Giorno in several regions.
