Italian media: Avanti! journalism awards and Rai 3 program relaunch

The second edition of the Avanti! and Avanti! della domenica awards, dedicated to journalism and the value of information, will be announced during the “La Sinistra è Avanti” National Festival in Campobasso from September 11 to 13. The jury has recognized several figures for their contribution to public debate and political pluralism, including Rita Lofano (Director of AGI), Gaspare Borsellino (Director of Italpress), Andrea Pucci (Director of Tgcom24), and Matteo Pucciarelli. A special recognition will also be awarded to Corriere della Sera to honor its 150th anniversary and its role in democratic life.

Separately, Rai 3 is relaunching its morning news programming with the return of “Buongiorno Italia” and “Buongiorno Regione” on September 14. The 2026/2027 season aims to strengthen the connection with local territories by focusing on news, technology, and public services such as transport, health, and infrastructure. The programs will incorporate new technological innovations, including touch screens in studios, to provide more dynamic digital content and maps.
