Italian medical and community groups launch aid for Ukraine

Various initiatives in Italy are mobilizing to provide humanitarian and medical aid to Ukraine. In the Benevento province, the Order of Surgeons and Dentists has launched a collection drive for the ‘Raphael’ health center in Odesa. The campaign seeks medical supplies, including first aid kits, bandages, tourniquets, and FreeStyle Libre 2 glucose monitoring sensors for children with diabetes, as well as long-lasting food items like pasta, rice, and infant products.

In Siena, the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria (AOU) Senese, in collaboration with the association ‘La Casa della Pace APS’, is conducting the ‘Secret San Nicola’ project. This initiative encourages medical professionals, staff, and patients to respond to letters written by Ukrainian children. Participants select a letter and purchase a gift to be sent to the children in Ukraine to provide support and solidarity.
