Italian military and Carabinieri launch school engagement programs

Italian military and law enforcement institutions are launching initiatives to engage with students at the start of the new school year to promote civic values and prevention.

In Casarano, the Carabinieri have begun a program for the 2026/2027 school year focused on legality and prevention. Part of the ‘A-MaRe-D’ protocol coordinated by the Prefecture of Lecce, the initiative aims to address issues such as drug and alcohol addiction, bullying, cyberbullying, gender violence, and road safety. The program seeks to provide direct dialogue to help students recognize dangers and make responsible choices.

In Salerno, the Italian Army’s ‘Cavalleggeri Guide’ regiment participated in a flag-raising ceremony at the Galilei-Di Palo Institute. The event, attended by approximately 200 students and faculty, aimed to strengthen the connection between the military and the local community while emphasizing democratic principles, national symbols, and historical memory.
