Italy issues multiple food recalls for Salmonella and Listeria

The Italian Ministry of Health has issued several food recalls due to microbiological contamination risks. A significant recall involves organic eggs from the Monasterolo di Savigliano facility, affecting 18 lots under the Olivero Claudio and SìEssenziali (distributed by NaturaSì) brands due to the presence of Salmonella typhimurium.

Other major recalls include 59 lots of meat products, such as roast turkey, veal tonnato, and pork loin, produced by A. M. M. 53 in Spresiano. These products, sold under the Eurospin “Portami Via” brand and the A. M. M. 53 brand, were flagged for potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Additional recalls involve liquid pasteurized egg whites from the Piacersi line (sold at Conad) due to Salmonella, Carrefour frozen swordfish fillets for microbiological non-compliance, and Arkan tahini due to possible Salmonella. Furthermore, the Italmark supermarket chain has withdrawn vacuum-packed clams and lupin beans produced by Consorzio pescatori di Goro following internal microbiological checks.
