Italian motorsport sees record Monza attendance and upcoming Mugello historical GP

The Italian motorsport scene is seeing significant activity, highlighted by record-breaking attendance at the Monza Grand Prix and upcoming historical celebrations at Mugello.

The 97th Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza recorded 403,666 attendees over three days. The event saw a rise in mobility, with 65,000 passengers using shuttle services and over 122,000 people participating in MonzaFuoriGP events. Local infrastructure managed over 17,000 vehicles in parking lots and significant rail traffic via Trenord.

Looking ahead to October 2026, the Autodromo del Mugello will host the Gran Premio Storico d'Italia from October 2 to 4. Organized by HVM Racing in collaboration with Ferrari, the event will celebrate Ferrari’s golden decade between 1996 and 2006, honoring the era of Michael Schumacher. The program includes 18 races featuring historic Formula 1 cars, IndyCar, and Formula Junior, with former drivers such as Eddie Irvine, Mika Salo, and Gerhard Berger expected to participate.
