Italian mountain villages host summer festivals in August

The town of Rassa in the Valsesia valley will hold the "Il Borgo dei desideri" event on Monday, 10 August. Part of the Borghi più belli d'Italia circuit, the evening will invite residents and visitors to share wishes, enjoy itinerant accordion and hurdy‑gurdy music, and sample local food and drinks at a communal aperitivo.

A week earlier, on Sunday, 2 August, the small Alpine community of Elva will host the Bordiga Music Festival. Free to the public, the festival will feature performances by the John Birks Orchestra and the Matteo Brancaleoni Sextet, alongside local culinary offerings provided by volunteers of the Pro Loco. Both events aim to celebrate regional traditions, promote community participation, and attract tourists to the picturesque mountain villages of Italy.
