Italian municipalities announce 2026/2027 theatrical seasons

Several Italian municipalities have announced their theatrical seasons for 2026/2027.

In Nissoria, the Municipality, in collaboration with the Nuova Compagnia Teatrale Il Canovaccio, will present a program at the Auditorium ‘N. Buttafuoco’ running from October 2026 to April 2027. Under the artistic direction of Andrea Favazza, the schedule includes prose, music, and children's theater, featuring works such as Alessandro Baricco’s ‘Novecento’ and Nikolaj Gogol’s ‘The Inspector General’.

In Agnone, the Teatro Italo Argentino has unveiled its upcoming season, which consists of eight scheduled events. Managed by the ‘Amici del Teatro Italo Argentino’ association under the artistic direction of Pasquale Di Giannantonio and Francesco Di Nucci, the season includes ‘La Mandragola’, ‘Carta straccia’, and Eduardo De Filippo’s ‘Il sindaco del rione Sanità’. The program also features a European project titled ‘Seeds’ aimed at creating an original production for the theater.
