Italian municipalities announce local police recruitment

The municipalities of Saronno and San Lorenzo al Mare have opened public competitions to recruit personnel for their local police services.

In Saronno, the administration is seeking to hire a full-time local police officer for the instructor area. The selection process will be conducted through examinations, and the position includes a reservation for protected categories under Law 68/1999. Candidates must possess a high school diploma and submit applications via the inPA national recruitment portal by November 20, 2026.

San Lorenzo al Mare is seeking a new head of local police to coordinate the service and support the two remaining officers. The position, which is a full-time and permanent role, follows the departure of two previous staff members. Until a new official is appointed, responsibility for the local police has been transferred to Mayor Enzo Mazzarese.
