Italian municipalities announce summer camp subsidies for 2026
Municipalities in Italy are implementing financial support measures for families to assist with summer camp costs in 2026.
In Castellanza, the local administration will provide weekly contributions of 30 euros for children aged 3 to 14 attending local summer centers between June 8 and September 11, 2026. The benefit is available to residents until funds are exhausted, with applications due by September 30, 2026. Summer oratories are excluded from this specific program.
In Mira, the municipal council has allocated 43,136.59 euros, sourced from the Ministry for the Family, to reimburse summer camp fees. Families can receive up to 84 euros per week, with a maximum total of 336 euros per child, covering up to four weeks of attendance. Unlike Castellanza, Mira allows for reimbursements for summer centers located outside the municipal territory. If demand exceeds available resources, priority will be determined via a ranking system based on ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) levels.
