Italian municipalities announce urban renewal projects in Pisa and Imperia

Municipal authorities in Pisa and Imperia have announced new urban development and infrastructure projects.

In Pisa, officials are planning a complete replacement of the paving in Piazza Gambacorti. The project, estimated to cost approximately 550,000 euros, is necessary because the original materials used decades ago are no longer available. Local councilors Angelo Ciavarrella and Raffaella Marchetti have called for a design that prioritizes green spaces, residents, families, and local businesses to improve the square's social functionality.

In Imperia, the city administration has allocated 200,000 euros for the second phase of the Plan for the Elimination of Architectural Barriers (Peba) in Via Pirinoli. This project aims to provide continuity to previous works by extending improvements from Via Pirinoli to Via Scarincio. The funding, derived from construction permit fees, will cover the design and implementation of new sidewalks and accessibility features.
