Italian municipalities approve new urban park redevelopment projects

Municipalities in Italy are advancing significant urban redevelopment projects focused on public green spaces.

In Feltre, the local government has approved design guidelines for a 250,000 euro project to restore the Parco della Rimembranza. Following previous renovations to perimeter fencing and internal paths, this new phase aims to recover the park's historic fountain and entrance gate, while improving pedestrian walkways and social spaces. The project seeks funding through the Consorzio BIM Piave Development Program.

In Prato, the executive project for the Central Park has been approved. The redevelopment covers 30,000 square meters on the site of the former Misericordia and Dolce hospital. The project, with a total economic framework of 10.2 million euros, includes a green area featuring hundreds of trees and shrubs, alongside a pavilion equipped with a photovoltaic system. A European tender for the 7 million euro construction works is expected to be published in early 2027, supported by funding from the Tuscany Region.
