A2A shares pressured by 5 million euro Arera fine
A2A shares faced pressure on Piazza Affari following a 5 million euro fine imposed by Arera for alleged electricity market manipulation. The multiutility has announced it will appeal the decision to the Tar, claiming the ruling is based on a “partial interpretation of the rule.” While the financial impact is considered limited relative to the company's fundamentals, the sanction has introduced regulatory uncertainty for the energy stock.
In other Italian municipal news, San Ferdinando di Puglia has approved a reduction in TARI waste tax rates for 2026, rewarding citizens for increased waste sorting efforts. Similarly, Galatina has approved a new economic plan that includes rate reductions for both domestic and non-domestic users, alongside a tripling of the municipal social fund for TARI bonuses to support vulnerable households.
