Italian municipalities enhance civil protection resources
Local authorities in Italy are enhancing civil protection capabilities through new resources and organizational measures. In Fiumicino, a new public notice has been issued to select volunteer organizations to work in convention with the municipality. This initiative aims to create a structured scenario for emergency management and rescue operations, particularly for natural disasters, fires, and other urgent interventions.
In Brescia, the Civil Protection Service, now integrated within the Local Police, has acquired a new mobile office. This vehicle is equipped for on-site emergency management, preventive coordination, and training activities. It features computer workstations, mobile telecommunications capabilities, a generator, and a 15-hour battery autonomy. Additionally, Brescia is launching educational projects in schools and neighborhood councils to increase citizen awareness and preparedness.
