Italian municipalities host historical commemorations

Various Italian municipalities are hosting events to commemorate historical milestones. In Polonghera, the community will celebrate the 1946 draft class on September 13 with a mass at the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Pilone, followed by a communal lunch.

In Fucecchio, the “Estate44” initiative continues to honor the 82nd anniversary of the town's liberation. On September 1, Mayor Emma Donnini will lead an institutional ceremony to lay a laurel wreath in memory of the fallen. Later that day, the association FucecchioèLibera will host “Quel mazzolin di libertà” at Poggio Salamartano, featuring community testimonies, workshops, and music to celebrate democratic values and historical memory.
