Italian municipalities implement new management plans for local sports facilities
Local administrations in Italy are implementing new management plans for community sports and recreational facilities.
In Piano di Sorrento, the municipal council has approved a resolution to relaunch the Pozzopiano sports field through a three-year concession. The administration aims to find a reliable manager to promote youth sports and social inclusion. The concession will feature an annual fee starting at 3,000 euros, with the manager responsible for maintenance. While the facility will be fully accessible, the stands are currently classified as unusable and require repairs.
In Cervo, the local administration has signed an agreement with the Croce Oro to reopen a local play area and football pitch that had been closed due to vandalism and noise. The Croce Oro will provide surveillance and access management during specific hours throughout the year. Use of the field will require prior reservation, and the association will monitor the site for damages or unauthorized intrusions. New regulations include prohibitions on smoking, alcohol, glass bottles, and certain vehicles to ensure safety and decorum.
