Italian municipalities inaugurate modernized school facilities

Several Italian municipalities have completed significant renovations and new constructions for local educational facilities.

In Piobbico, a new primary and secondary school complex on via d’Urbania has officially opened. The project, funded through the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), involved the demolition of an old building to make way for a modern, sustainable structure. Mayor Alessandro Urbini stated that the new facility meets contemporary didactic needs and modern safety standards, providing improved environments for students and staff.

Similarly, the municipality of Petina has inaugurated the renovated ‘Giovanni Pascoli’ school, which serves both elementary and middle school students. The redevelopment focused on improving safety and functionality throughout the entire building. Local officials noted that the project serves as an essential social pillar for the Alburni mountain territory, ensuring students have access to spaces that meet modern educational standards.
