Italian municipalities inaugurate new parking facilities

Several Italian municipalities have inaugurated new parking facilities to improve local infrastructure and manage visitor traffic.

In Borgomezzavalle, a new parking area has been opened in the San Rocco locality. Mayor Stefano Bellotti described the project as a significant step for the community, fulfilling a goal within the administration's mandate to provide useful services to citizens and the territory.

In L'Aquila, a large public parking lot has opened at the site of the former Rossi barracks. The facility provides 400 spaces, an urban and extra-urban bus station, and free parking for commuters. The project aims to accommodate the increased influx of visitors during the Perdonanza event. While the parking area is currently operational, future phases of the project include the construction of public restrooms, a dog area, and a park dedicated to Luca Polsinelli. Additionally, a shuttle service will be experimentally launched to transport users from the parking area to the historic center.
