Italian municipalities launch new digital service applications
Italian municipalities in Caltanissetta and Castelsardo have launched new mobile applications designed to streamline communication between local administrations, residents, and tourists.
In Caltanissetta, the new app, developed by cmsLABS, serves as a centralized digital ecosystem. It aims to provide immediate access to municipal services and institutional information for both locals and visitors. Digital transition assessor Vincenzo Lo Muto described the tool as an intuitive and accessible way to meet the daily needs of the community.
Castelsardo has released the ‘Castelsardo’ app, available on Apple and Google platforms. Led by Mayor Maria Lucia Tirotto, the initiative provides a wide range of services including waste collection calendars, weather and civil protection alerts, cultural site mapping, and bureaucratic service bookings. The app also features a business directory for local shops and hotels, utilizing geolocation to assist users in finding nearby amenities.
