Italian municipalities launch youth safety and education initiatives

Local authorities and educational institutions in Italy are launching initiatives to address youth safety and social behavior. In Sospiro, the Local Police and the G. B. Puerari Comprehensive Institute have partnered to promote road safety, legality, and responsibility. The program includes educational activities for primary students, such as interactive road safety lessons, and sessions for secondary students focusing on responsible driving, the dangers of alcohol, and the use of psychoactive substances.

In Lecco, the municipal government, schools, and law enforcement are establishing a collaborative network to combat youth violence. This initiative follows a recent assault on a teenager and aims to create a stable system for identifying signs of distress or conflict among students before they escalate into violence. The strategy focuses on three pillars: analyzing local needs, implementing prevention through institutional coordination, and fostering education centered on respect and physical and psychological integrity.
