Italian municipalities launch youth support and digital safety initiatives
Municipalities in Italy are launching community initiatives aimed at supporting youth development and digital safety.
In Novi Ligure, the “Insieme si vince – Orizzonti sicuri” project has been established to provide families, educators, and teachers with tools to recognize dangers, prevent youth distress, and promote responsible technology use. Funded by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the program includes public awareness campaigns regarding the 114 emergency number for children, specialized training for educators on identifying abuse and managing crises, and community events.
Similarly, Montalto di Castro has introduced “Navigare l’adolescenza,” a free program managed by the Fondazione Solidarietà e Cultura. Part of a broader parenting project, the initiative offers meetings led by professionals in psychology, neuroscience, and education. The program focuses on helping parents and educators navigate the emotional and digital challenges of adolescence, aiming to reduce isolation and improve communication within families.
