Italian municipalities open applications for election officials
Municipalities in Italy, including Riccione and Oristano, have opened applications for citizens to join the official registries of polling station presidents and scrutineers.
In Riccione, the deadline to apply for the role of polling station president is October 31, requiring a high school diploma. Applications for scrutineers are accepted until November 30. Eligible applicants must be registered voters in the municipality and can submit documentation online, via email, or in person.
In Oristano, the deadline for polling station presidents is also October 31. Applicants must be Italian citizens registered in the local electoral lists and hold a high school diploma. Certain professional and personal roles are excluded from eligibility, such as active military personnel, specific healthcare workers, municipal employees in electoral offices, and candidates running in elections. Those over 75 years of age at the time of elections are also ineligible.
