Davide Cavallo sentenced for Milan stabbing as victim forgives attackers

On 12 October 2025 a 22‑year‑old Bocconi student, Davide Cavallo, was stabbed in Corso Como, Milan, during a robbery for about €50. He suffered permanent injuries. In the abbreviated trial, the court sentenced Alessandro Chiani to 20 years for attempted murder and robbery, while his co‑accused Ahmed Atia received 10 months and 20 days for failure to render aid. The public prosecutor had asked for 12 years and 10 years respectively.

The court also ordered compensation of €1.5 million to Cavallo and €100 000 to each of his parents.
