Italian museums launch new historical and political heritage projects
Cultural institutions in Italy are launching new initiatives to explore historical and political legacies. At the Museo Casa De Gasperi, guided tours are concluding with a focus on the roots of regional autonomy. The final session, scheduled for September 5, commemorates the 80th anniversary of the De Gasperi-Gruber Agreement. The program highlights the historical evolution of territorial self-governance and the principles of autonomy as articulated by statesman Alcide De Gasperi.
In Ghilarza, the Municipality and the Fondazione Casa Museo are collaborating on a project to expand the museum dedicated to Antonio Gramsci. The initiative aims to create a cultural itinerary connecting Gramsci’s former residence to the local landscape, utilizing technology to enhance visitor access. The project seeks to transform historical heritage into a tool for social and touristic development, potentially supported by the ‘Cultura nei piccoli comuni’ grant.
