Italian museums roll out expanded back‑to‑school programs for children

The Archaeological Museum of Vercelli will host a two‑week "One Week at the MAC" campus for pupils aged 6 to 11, running from 31 August to 4 September and from 7 to 11 September. The mornings will feature workshops, games and themed lessons delivered by educators, museum staff and local professionals. Participation is limited and reservations must be made by 1 August.

In Milan, the Museum of School Notebooks has reopened bookings for its 2026‑2027 educational labs. The museum offers three thematic modules – wartime notebooks, the inner world of children, and the historical evolution of youth – for primary and lower secondary classes, alongside classroom‑based activities that let students compare past and present experiences. Both initiatives aim to enrich school curricula and engage children with local heritage through hands‑on learning.
