Italian music festivals draw massive crowds and spark police arrests

The event highlighted community enthusiasm, especially after Morocco’s World Cup quarter‑final qualification, and included youth‑focused showcases of emerging Italian indie and urban talent.

Meanwhile, the Kappa FuturFestival 2026 held at Parco Dora in Turin welcomed about 125,000 visitors from over 150 countries, generating an estimated €50 million economic impact for the region. Police operations during the three‑day event resulted in eight arrests—including a 28‑year‑old arrested for theft of gold jewelry—and thirteen formal complaints, alongside more than 60 administrative fines for possession of drugs such as hashish, MDMA, ketamine and pink cocaine.
