Italian music festivals feature organ and film soundtrack performances

Several musical events are scheduled for Friday, September 18, across Italy. In Mesagne, the Barocco Festival Leonardo Leo will present “Intrecci sonori. Dialoghi tra Spagna, Italia e Germania con le canne d’organo” at the Chiesa Matrice. Organist Arturo Barba Sevillano will perform a program spanning Spanish, Italian, and German traditions, featuring composers such as Bach, Pachelbel, and Bellini. The performance utilizes a historical organ built in 1794.

In Saluzzo, the Vonoxus Festival will host the Crossover Trio at the Fondazione Scuola APM. Their concert, titled “Oltre lo Schermo,” focuses on famous film soundtracks. The trio, consisting of Claudio Gilio, Alberto Fantino, and Maurizio Baudino, will perform works by composers including Ennio Morricone, John Williams, and Hans Zimmer.
