Italian music festivals host prominent organ performances

Various classical music festivals in Italy are hosting prominent organ performances. In Umbria, the 81st edition of the Sagra Musicale Umbra, titled ‘Anni Acerbi’, continues its regional tour across cities such as Perugia, Assisi, and Terni.

As part of the ‘L’arte organaria in Umbria’ series, organist Stefano Pellini is scheduled to perform at the Basilica Cattedrale di San Benedetto in Gualdo Tadino on September 29, 2026. The program features works by composers including B. Pasquini, Vivaldi, and Donizetti, aiming to highlight the region's organ heritage.

In Tuscany, the eighth edition of the Toscana Organ Festival will feature Polish organist Andrzej Chorosiński at the Pieve church in Arezzo on September 30, 2026. His performance will include works by J.S. Bach, Mozart, and Chopin, alongside pieces by Polish composers such as Marian Sawa and Mieczysław Surzyński.
