Italian music festivals Orbetello Jazz and Onde Musicali hold seasonal events

The Orbetello Jazz Festival has launched its ninth edition, running from September 4 to 6. Under the artistic direction of Eugenio Rubei, this year’s program is dedicated to the ‘Tuscan School’ and features both contemporary stars and emerging talents. The opening festivities include performances by young musicians from the ‘Pietro Mascagni’ Conservatory of Livorno, such as the groups Melting Pot and 4Ward, as well as the project ‘Mediterrando’ led by Mauro Grossi.

Meanwhile, the ninth edition of the Onde Musicali festival on Lake Iseo is approaching its conclusion. The grand finale will take place on September 5 at Isola di Loreto, featuring a sold-out double concert by the Astorre Ferrari string ensemble. The program, titled ‘Viaggio tra le stagioni’, will perform works by Antonio Vivaldi, including movements from ‘The Four Seasons’. The event also includes a site-specific installation titled ‘Gelosie’ by Annalisa Sonzogni.
