Italian music scene sees new releases from Karbonica, I Gatti di Ulthar, and Nysario
Several Italian musical acts have released new material, showcasing a variety of genres from alternative rock to new wave and indie pop.
The Sicilian band Karbonica has released a new single titled ‘La mia luce’. Recorded in 2021 but released recently, the alternative rock track focuses on themes of intellectual freedom, authenticity, and resisting cultural homogenization.
In Rome, the quartet I Gatti di Ulthar has debuted with a self-titled album. The project utilizes an 80s-inspired new wave and goth sound, featuring lyrical themes influenced by authors such as H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe.
Additionally, Nysario has released the single ‘Sotto il cielo’. The track is described as a blend of Eastern sensitivity and Mediterranean sensuality, categorized within the indie pop and dance genres.
