Italian music scene updates: Malombra and Tormento release new works

The Italian music landscape sees new releases from established artists. The Genoese band Malombra is preparing for the release of their new album, ‘Soffitta Macabra’, scheduled for October 31. This project follows the upcoming premiere of ‘Contro il mondo Contro la vita’ on October 23, which will feature an excerpt from the new album. The band aims for a raw, unfiltered sound, avoiding digital artifice like autotune to reflect a dark, avant-garde aesthetic.

In a different genre, artist Tormento has released the single ‘Luci e Ombre’, marking the second part of his upcoming album ‘Antidoto’, expected by the end of 2026. The track features collaborations with Guè, Shablo, and Noemi, blending soul and RnB with melodic Italian pop. The song explores themes of incommunicability and the impossibility of coexistence within a relationship, using the metaphor of light and shadow.
