Italian musical salon series launch new seasons

Several musical salon series are launching new seasons in Italy, offering intimate classical music experiences.

In Crema, the Civico Istituto Musicale Luigi Folcioni is relaunching its ‘Salotti Musicali’ format. Created by pianist Gabriele Duranti and cellist/composer Emanuele Fiammetti, the new season consists of nine meetings divided into two series, plus two special evenings. Held at the Fondazione San Domenico, these sessions aim to bring audiences closer to music through live performances and commentary on the history and ideas behind the compositions.

In Ravello, the third edition of ‘Il Salotto musicale di Nevile Reid’ is beginning at Villa Rufolo. Organized by Fondazione Ravello, the autumn-winter program features ten appointments between October and December. The series includes Sunday matinées and Friday afternoon sessions, showcasing both international competition winners and experienced performers. The repertoire spans from Classicism and Romanticism to contemporary music and Italian opera, utilizing both the Auditorium and the Villa Rufolo Theater Hall.
