Italian musicians receive honors for musical contributions
Several musical honors and recognitions were recently awarded in Italy. Alessandro Ceccarini won the first edition of the ‘Racconta Mascagni’ national competition, organized by the Centro Studi Arnopolis in collaboration with dreamBOOK edizioni and the Mascagni Festival. His winning essay, ‘Mascagni a Pisa 1881-1945’, explores the composer’s presence and the performances of his works in the Pisa region.
In Gatteo Mare, musician and lyricist Primino Partisani received a lifetime achievement award at the Arena Rubicone. The award recognizes his lifelong dedication to orchestral art and his significant contributions to Romagnolo popular music, particularly during the golden era of liscio. Partisani, who studied at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, led his own orchestra for many years and has recorded 16 LPs and a CD throughout his career.
