Gennaro Sangiuliano leads first Fratelli d'Italia regional meeting in Campania
Gennaro Sangiuliano, the newly appointed regional coordinator for Fratelli d'Italia (FdI) in Campania, held the party's first regional coordination meeting in Naples. During the assembly, Sangiuliano criticized the regional administration for what he described as “absolute immobility,” asserting that meaningful progress in the region is only occurring through decrees issued by the Meloni government.
Sangiuliano highlighted several government-led initiatives, including funding for the Maradona stadium, the Albergo dei Poveri, and the America’s Cup. He called for a “strong change of pace” within FdI to effectively communicate the Meloni government's results and to oppose the regional administration, which he claimed has suffered from decades of mismanagement in sectors such as healthcare and transport.
In a separate meeting at the Viminale, Sangiuliano led a delegation from northern Naples to meet with Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi. The group discussed the emergency in Giugliano caused by Roma camps, which they linked to issues of urban decay and arson. The Ministry has reportedly proposed an action plan to address public order and alleviate pressure in the area.
