Italian parishes undergo leadership transitions in Costa Masnaga and Marigliano
Several Italian communities are undergoing transitions in local parish leadership.
In Costa Masnaga, Don Riccardo Sanvito is scheduled for a solemn entry as the new parish priest on October 4 at the Church of Santa Maria Assunta. The event will include a community procession from the municipal square and a Mass presided over by Monsignor Franco Agnesi, the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Milan. Don Sanvito has expressed a vision for the parish centered on the theme of the disciples of Emmaus, emphasizing community encounter and openness.
In Marigliano, the community held a final Mass for Don Sebastiano Bonavolontà at the Church of San Nicola, marking the end of his 24-year tenure. The service was attended by Bishop Francesco Marino and local municipal authorities. Don Sebastiano Marino is set to succeed him as the new parish priest on October 11.
