Italian police announce speed camera checks in Lombardy and Verona

Law enforcement agencies in Italy have announced scheduled speed enforcement operations for the week of September 21 to September 27, 2026.

In Lombardy, the Polizia di Stato will deploy mobile speed cameras in the provinces of Lodi and Varese. Specific locations include State Road 9 (Via Emilia) in Lodi on September 23 and 25, and State Road 394 (Verbano Orientale) in Varese on September 25. Authorities noted that while no structured checks are planned for Como, unscheduled inspections may still occur.

In Verona, local police will conduct weekly checks using speed cameras and telelasers on several streets, including via Unità d’Italia, corso Venezia, via Lugagnano, via Bassone, via Preare, and Lungadige Attiraglio. A fixed speed camera remains active on the Tangenziale Nord near the Santa Lucia exit. Additionally, the local police will maintain a community presence through mobile offices at various markets and parks throughout the week.
