16-year-old Italian of foreign origin arrested in Grosseto for terrorism
Italian police arrested a 16‑year‑old male of foreign origin who lives in the province of Como while he was on holiday with his family in the province of Grosseto. The Milan Juvenile Court ordered his custodial detention, which was executed by the State Police.

He regularly used VPNs and encryption tools to access a known ISIS propaganda website.
A personal and digital search of the minor yielded hundreds of files, including videos of executions, training sessions, anasheed, as well as neo‑Nazi and anti‑Semitic material. Among the seized material was a Russian‑language video bearing the ISIS logo that provided step‑by‑step instructions for building an improvised explosive device. In intercepted chats the teen expressed explicit support for the Islamic State and claimed past involvement in creating propaganda for the group.
He has been charged with participation in an association with the aim of international terrorism and with propaganda and incitement to commit crimes motivated by racial, ethnic and religious discrimination.
