Italian police arrest Albanian drug dealer and Algerian shop thief
In Desenzano del Garda, police from the Anticrimine unit detained a 27‑year‑old Albanian man without fixed residence after a transaction in a public parking lot. The suspect handed over cash and received a sealed cellophane packet containing cocaine, which was later found hidden in a jar under the car along with 15 similar packets and small‑denomination banknotes. The Questore of Brescia, Paolo Sartori, ordered the man's expulsion from Italy and a three‑year ban from returning to the municipality.
In Bologna, officers from the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office arrested a 25‑year‑old Algerian man following a shopkeeper’s report of a theft attempt at a clothing store on Via dei Mille. The suspect concealed several garments worth about €50 in his backpack after disabling the anti‑theft tags. He has numerous prior convictions and was taken to the local detention facility.
