Italian police arrest Albanian suspect in Lonato discotheque shooting

On 9 November 2025, five pistol shots were fired outside the Just Me discotheque in Lonato del Garda (Brescia province). The gunfire struck a panel at the entrance but caused no injuries. Investigators say a dispute inside the venue led to the shooter being expelled; he later returned with an accomplice and opened fire.

Carabinieri investigations, including five home raids on 30 January 2026, identified a 38‑year‑old Albanian citizen as the material perpetrator and a 40‑year‑old compatriot as a suspect accomplice. After eight months on the run, the Albanian was located in Castelnuovo del Garda (Verona province) and arrested. He was transferred to the Nerio Fischione prison in Brescia pending trial.
