Italian police arrest drug suspects and seize over 800 g of hashish in Catania and Santa Maria Capua Vetere

In Catania, a 47‑year‑old resident was arrested after attempting to discard a bag of drugs through a window. Police recovered nearly 200 g of marijuana, a 97‑g block of hashish, two crack stones weighing about 19 g in total, and 2.35 g of cocaine, along with two scales and a notebook of dosage notes. He was placed under home arrest with an electronic bracelet pending judicial proceedings.

In Santa Maria Capua Vetere, a 55‑year‑old man was detained following a routine check aided by a drug‑sniffing dog. Officers seized six hashish blocks amounting to roughly 630 g, three small hashish sticks (12 g), an additional 29 g of the drug, a precision balance, and €235 in cash. He also received a home‑arrest order while the investigation continues.
