Italian Carabinieri arrest suspects in multiple domestic‑violence incidents

In the weeks of July 2026 Italian Carabinieri carried out a series of arrests for severe domestic‑violence offences across the country. In Licata a 32‑year‑old was detained after assaulting his ex‑wife and a friend in a bar. In Palermo a married couple were placed in custody for repeated maltreatment of their five minor daughters. In Ginosa a 36‑year‑old man of Romanian origin was arrested for threats, physical assault on his partner and possession of a gram of cocaine. In Rebbio a 42‑year‑old was detained for threats, extortion and arson targeting his parents. In Trentola Ducenta a 47‑year‑old was arrested for attempted patricide with a knife and for injuring his mother and brother. In Massarosa a 31‑year‑old Romanian was seized after kidnapping, sexual assault and threats with knives. A separate incident in Napoli saw an OSS assaulted with slaps by a patient’s relative in a hospital triage area. All suspects were placed in preventive detention pending investigation.
