Italian police arrest suspects in attempted burglary and family‑abuse cases

A 42‑year‑old Moldovan man attempted to break into a home in Genoa. After the homeowner called police, the suspect fled into a thicket of brambles, became tangled, and was rescued by officers of the State Police. He was treated for abrasions at San Martino hospital, released after a week, and then taken to the local police headquarters for detention.

In a separate incident in Sansepolcro, a 54‑year‑old man was arrested for severe family‑abuse offences, tax evasion, and possession of forged documents committed between August and September 2015. Following a conviction that sentenced him to two years, six months and 21 days in prison, he was transferred to the Ancona correctional facility to serve his term.

Both arrests were carried out by Italian law‑enforcement authorities and underscore ongoing efforts to combat domestic violence and property crimes.
