Italian police arrest suspects in Pescara robbery and Sardinia ticket‑dispute incidents

Police in Pescara arrested a 20‑year‑old from Popoli after linking him to two street robberies carried out on 19 May and 25 May. In the first attack he demanded €50, and in the second he forced a victim to hand over €70, totaling €120. Investigators used urban video‑surveillance footage and victim statements to identify and locate the suspect, who was already known to law‑enforcement.

In a separate incident in Sardinia, a 33‑year‑old employee was arrested after he smashed the ticket‑office window at the Piazza Matteotti station, demanded a refund for a missed train, and then assaulted the responding carabinieri, refusing to give his identity. He was charged with resistance, insult and violence against public officials.
