Italian police arrest two suspects in separate robbery and hit-and-run incidents
Italian authorities have arrested two individuals in separate criminal incidents in Terracina and Trecate.
In Terracina, a 28-year-old man was arrested after stealing a car parked near a pizzeria. During his escape, the suspect struck two parked vehicles and hit a pedestrian before fleeing the scene without providing aid. The pursuit ended on the Via Appia near Porta Napoletana when the stolen vehicle ran out of fuel. The suspect faces multiple charges, including improper robbery, personal injury, failure to render assistance, driving without a license, and refusal to undergo alcohol or drug testing. The injured pedestrian was transported to Fiorini Hospital.
In Trecate, a 26-year-old man was arrested for an aggravated robbery involving three minors. The suspect, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, allegedly used a small multi-tool knife to threaten the youths and steal glasses and cash. Following the incident, Carabinieri officers located the suspect nearby. He reportedly resisted arrest but was eventually detained, and the stolen items were recovered. The individual has been placed under house arrest.
