Italian police conduct regulatory inspections in Sicily

Law enforcement authorities in Sicily have conducted several inspections targeting public establishments and betting centers to ensure compliance with safety and licensing regulations.

In San Marco di Sciacca, the Questore of Agrigento suspended the operations of a food and beverage establishment for seven days. The suspension follows an investigation by the Sciacca Police Commissariat, which found that the venue served alcoholic beverages to four minors aged over 16. The owner faces administrative fines exceeding 2,000 euros.

In Syracuse, a joint operation by the State Police and Municipal Police inspected betting centers, resulting in approximately 7,500 euros in administrative fines. Violations included operating without a license, serving food and beverages without the required SCIA authorization, the absence of legal representatives during business hours, and the use of unauthorized advertising signage.
