Italian police confiscate 12 kg of illegal drugs and a shotgun in Campania

Police operations in the Campania region resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of large quantities of narcotics and weaponry.

In Scafati, a 35‑year‑old woman was detained after officers recovered about 3 kg of hashish from her home, two knives soaked in the drug, and, in the building’s cellar, an additional 2.7 kg of hashish, 7 kg of marijuana, 70 g of cocaine, precision scales, packaging material, and a 12‑gauge pump‑action shotgun with 22 shells. The total haul exceeded 12 kg of controlled substances.

In Cava de’ Tirreni, a man was arrested following a raid that uncovered 22.8 kg of hashish, 300 g of marijuana, weighing equipment, drug‑packaging tools, €62,000 in cash believed to be proceeds of the trade, and war‑type ammunition. Both operations were conducted by the State Police with canine units, highlighting a coordinated effort against drug trafficking in the province of Salerno.
