Italian police crackdown on traffic violations and public disorder in Sicily and Marche

In the Sicilian municipalities of Aci Catena and Aci Sant'Antonio, police operations identified 153 people and inspected 93 vehicles, issuing fines totalling €10,000 and deducting 30 licence points. Specific violations included lack of vehicle inspection, driving with an expired licence, missing insurance, and failure to wear helmets. Further checks are planned in the region.

In Ancona, police patrols during weekend surveillance stops identified 88 people and checked 25 vehicles. A 50‑year‑old man under a special surveillance order violated his curfew by being drunk outside a bar. He was reported to the judicial authority and fined for public drunkenness.
