Italian police detain minors after school robbery in Parma and terrorism‑related material seizure in Bologna

In Parma, police identified and charged three youths – two Tunisian citizens and an Italian of foreign origin – for aggravated robbery and assault against two students of the Leonardo da Vinci Technical Institute on 21 March. The suspects, aged 16‑18, were accused of surrounding the students, demanding money and personal items, and inflicting injuries before the victims escaped and alerted school staff.

Separately in the province of Bologna, a 16‑year‑old resident was arrested after investigators from the Digos uncovered handwritten manuals, extremist propaganda and instructions for making improvised weapons during a home search. The teenager was charged with possession of material intended for terrorism, with authorities also noting links to supremacist and jihadist content, including the Christchurch attack video.

Both cases illustrate a rise in serious criminal activity involving minors and have prompted judicial measures, including custody and restrictions on internet use.
